What Work Hours does

Work Hours logs work time using workplace geofences (arrive/leave), manual sessions, multi-job support, pay-period totals, charts, widgets, and optional Live Activities.

Quick setup

  1. Open the app and allow Location access. For automatic background logging, choose Always.
  2. Go to Settings → Jobs and set each job’s workplace (address, current location, or map pin) and geofence radius.
  3. Set your pay schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or custom).
  4. Optional: enable arrive/leave notifications under Settings → Notifications.

Common questions

Why does the app need Always location?
iOS region monitoring (geofencing) needs Always access to detect enter/exit while the app is not open. Work Hours is designed around efficient geofencing rather than continuous GPS tracking.

Sessions didn’t start when I arrived.
Confirm Always permission, that the correct job has a workplace set, that your radius is large enough, and that Low Power Mode / location restrictions are not blocking region monitoring. You can also add a manual session from the home screen.

Can I export my hours?
Yes. Open Pay Period History and use Download CSV. Upload CSV supports merge or replace.

On your device. See the Privacy Policy.
