Work Hours (“the App”) is a personal work-hours tracker for iPhone and iPad. This policy explains what information the App uses and how it is handled.
If you grant permission, the App uses device location (including Always access when you allow it) to monitor workplace geofences you set. Location is used for:
Location is processed on your device for the App’s core features. The App does not operate a developer-owned backend that collects or stores your location history.
The App stores on device:
You may export or import session data as CSV files that you choose to share with other apps (Files, Mail, AirDrop, etc.). That sharing is under your control.
If you enable arrive/leave notifications, the App uses local notifications on your device. Notification content is generated on device and is not sent to a developer server.
If you add a widget or use Live Activities, limited session summary data is shared with the system widget extension via an App Group on your device so the home screen and Lock Screen can show your hours.
We do not sell your personal information. The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. System services provided by Apple (for example, location services, map/geocoding features, or App Store distribution) may process data under Apple’s terms when you use those system features.
Data remains on your device until you delete sessions in the App or delete the App. Uninstalling the App removes its on-device data (subject to any backups you maintain, such as iCloud or computer backups).
Work Hours is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
